Sounds like the horrifically fevered dream of a nerd, doesn’t it? Fortunately, that nerd is Joss Whedon, and it just might come true.
The incomparable Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica’s Saul Tigh) will be appearing in S2, though in what role is currently unknown. What is known is that his former castmate Jamie Bamber (Apollo) will also be popping up in Dollhouse S2, appearing in the premiere episode as someone very closely involved with Eliza Dushku’s character Echo on an engagement. Turning into quite the BSG reunion over on the Dollhouse set, which is no surprise really; Joss Whedon was a huge fan of BSG, and most likely hired Tahmoh Penikett off the back of it.

Familiar faces set to appear in Dollhouse S2
The other happy news for Whedonistas is the announcement that Alexis Denisof is returning to the small screen for a recurring role in S2; once again, it isn’t clear what character he will be playing, but it’ll be great to see him back on TV after his much-loved run on Whedon show Angel.
Which brings us to the final major guest star, who at this point remains a rumour. Whedon favourite Summer Glau, who played River in Firefly and Serenity, is now free and easy following the cancellation of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and may be taking a trip back to Jossland. Whilst Glau’s inclusion in the show remains just a possibility it seems that all involved want to make it a reality; one thing Whedon has said, however, is that Glau wouldn’t play a Doll.
Personally, Dollhouse S2 can’t roll around fast enough; the show took a little while to get going but the back half of S1 was amazing. I’d urge anyone who still hasn’t seen the unaired US episode, Epitaph One, to order the DVD or grab the episode from iTunes if you want to spend 40-odd minutes gawping at your screen in pure unadulterated admiration.
