David Anders cast in recurring role on 24

You say to-may-to, I say to-mar-to.

You say to-may-to, I say to-mar-to.

Anders, best known as super-smooth globe-trotting terrorist Julian Sark on Alias, will now be popping up in “a handful of episodes” in the eighth season of 24, according to his representative. No details of his character have been announced yet, but Anders is the latest in a series of relatively high-profile signings for the upcoming season, alongside Katee “Kara Thrace” Sackhoff and Mr. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr.

I have to admit, I’ve only ever seen a couple of installments of 24, but I’ll be watching this season thanks to the cast. Looks to be shaping up well.

Anders’ representative neglected to include the most important detail, however; will the actor once again be reprising the English accent that seems to be a prerequisite for his appearance in network television? Expect a live televised press conference on the issue shortly.

Oooh, I love 24 and this just excites me even more!

Haven’t seen Freddie in anything for a while, so that’ll be good!

The only problem is I’ll be watching it thinking Anders is playing Adam in Heroes – and if he gets shot I’ll be shouting “Heal yourself!!!!” at my tv haha! If he does use the English accent, I bet he’ll totally end up being on of the bad guys!
