TV Guide have produced a gallery of 23 new shows launching this year and not many of them inspire much confidence. I think it’s fairly safe to assume an awful lot of these shows will meet with cancellation fairly early on but, of the list, which ones are you looking forward to?
Check out the TV Guide gallery here for a little info on each show and let me know in the comments here which shows you’re keeping an eye on this year.
Accidentally On Purpose
The Beautiful Life
Bored To Death
Brothers
The Cleveland Show
Community
Cougar Town
Eastwick
FlashForward
The Forgotten
The Good Wife
Glee
Hank
Melrose Place
Mercy
The Middle
Modern Family
NCIS Los Angeles
Shark Tank
Three Rivers
Trauma
The Vampire Diaries
White Collar

In all honesty none of those appeal much. I might give Bored to Death a try — it’s a great cast, but I’m not sure it will really hold my interest. I already get my fix of cheesy detective from Castle. I will also probably watch a couple of episodes of Flash Forward, but I will be very surprised if it is actually any good. I didn’t see any mention of Day One. Does that not premiere this fall? Again, I will probably try it out but the previews I’ve seen were not in the least inspiring. I am looking forward to V. I think that has a chance of actually being pretty good.
Accidentally on Purpose (Jenna Elfman makes anything good)
The Cleveland Show (Id Rather see The Quagmire Show thoe)
Eastwick (A new Charmed?)
FlashForward (New SciFi is always appreciated)
Mercy (Michelle Trachtenberg, Nuf Said)
Shark Tank (A Drama about a reality show, Yea, That’l go well)
The Vampire Diaries (Meh)
And as for Castle, Better then Angel but now you have seen True Blood, You will snooze through it.
I can’t honestly say anything on the list holds any interest at all except possibly Flash Forward and The Cleveland Show, maybe I’m getting a little jaded although I am thinking maybe V will be worth a try.
Day One doesn’t start until March 2010. I *hope* it can be good, but I’m not entirely optimistic.
I am, however, really looking forward to V. Elizabeth Mitchell is great, and the promos looked very interesting.
I’m going to try out Castle this season, having skipped it last year out of the pessimistic assumption it would just be cancelled straight away!
I quite enjoyed Castle! Nathan Fillion is always a pleasure to watch!
I made it about half way through that list, I couldn’t go any further, they all sounded so lame! I can see many fangirls popping up re: The Beautiful Life, though
