Two years ago Sonnenfeld directed the pilot for Pushing Daisies, realising the world of The Pie Hole and Coeur d’Coeurs in all of its surreal multicoloured glory. Now he’s set to return to directorial duties at ABC once again for the pilot of a new half-hour comedy, currently untitled, about a stressed out mother who discovers a suit that grants her superhero powers.
The pilot is to be scripted by Laura House, who has a fairly scant list of credits to her name, so it’s hard to guess at what to expect. Still, should be worth a look, simply to marvel at the Sonnenfeld visuals.
