Sadly Fuller only stuck around for about 6 episodes at the end of last season before jumping ship, possibly realising that not even he could breathe life back into this shuffling zombie of a show.

The word at the time was that Fuller was leaving to pursue his own projects, and now we’ve got a little bit of info on them…

The first is a pilot script for a sitcom called “No Kill” set in an animal rescue center that doesn’t destroy its furry or feathered friends.

The second is a collaboration with director Bryan Singer to create an hour-long weekly series based on the Augusten Burroughs novel “Sellevision”, focussing on the staff of a TV shopping channel.

I have to be totally honest and admit that, just as one-sentence descriptions, neither of these particularly grab me. Knowing Fuller, however, I’m sure they’ll turn out to be very funny, interesting series with some quirky characters and a bit of mystery.

And then, unfortunately, the shows will get canned after 5 episodes. Ah, the sweet smell of cynicism.
