I’m not familiar with the novel, but after a quick trip to Wikipedia (painstaking research here at TV Lowdown, dontchaknow) I can see how the concept could be intriguing. I’ll be interested to see how the novel is adapted into a potentially multi-season story, however, as there doesn’t seem to be that much scope for a long-running story.

Anyone out there who has read the novel, please let me know if I’m way off the mark!
