The fantastic Laura Linney has been lined up to executive produce and star in a half-hour comedy for Showtime. The show; “…delves into the emotional ups and downs of a suburban wife and mother forced to face reality yet also find the light side in a dark situation. A metaphor for the way we all should [...] Joss Whedon has wanted it for a long time, and it looks like it’s finally confirmed. Sources at Fox have revealed that Summer Glau is joining Dollhouse for at least 2 episodes. Colour me pleased; Whedon and Glau have worked well together on Angel, Firefly and Serenity so I have high hopes for her Dollhouse [...] It’s only rumour at the moment, but Lachman herself isn’t doing anything to dispel the suggestion that she may be appearing in the live-action Star Wars series that is currently being planned for. SciFi Now interviewed the Dollhouse star who responded to the rumours with “If that’s true, then that’s amazing. If it’s the TV series [...] The adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels, currently being worked on by writer-director Andrew Stanton, is receiving an influx of good old British thespianism in the form of Dominic West, Polly Walker and Samantha Morton. West, best known for playing troubled cop McNulty on the phenomenal series The Wire, is lined up to Sab Than, [...] I’ve just read some very interesting news; one of the cast of Dexter is due to appear for two episodes of Dollhouse’s second season. Regarded as one of Japan’s most respected actors, Sanada is probably best known to western audiences for his roles in Rush Hour 3, Sunshine and The Last Samurai. The 48-year old is joining the cast of Lost’s sixth and final season for a “significant recurring role”.
