So [...]]]> Change is afoot in the world of Doctor Who. Not only is a new Doctor due soon, with Matt Smith replacing David Tennant, but there have also been rumours that the Tardis will see something of a re-design. On top of all that, new showrunner Steven Moffat has revealed a new logo for the show.

Revealing the image, Moffat said:

“A new logo. The eleventh logo for the eleventh Doctor – those grand old words, Doctor Who, suddenly looking newer than ever. And look at that, something really new – an insignia! DW in TARDIS form! Simple and beautiful, and most important of all, a completely irresistible doodle. I apologise to school notebooks everywhere, because in 2010 that’s what they’re going to be wearing.”

Personally I quite like it, though it really seems they’re trying to distinguish Moffat’s new regime from the old Davies one quite strongly. It remains to be seen whether the content of the show will change as much, or whether it’s all style and no substance…
