So, here’s the round-up -

Emerson said “I don’t know if [the fans] will be fully satisfied [...]]]> Talking to TV Guide Michael Emerson (Ben), Terry O’Quinn (Locke) and Jorge Garcia (Hurley) gave their thoughts on the final season and what we can, or can’t, expect to see.

So, here’s the round-up -

Emerson said “I don’t know if [the fans] will be fully satisfied or not. I don’t know if we want to be fully satisfied. I think it’s always best to go away wanting a little more.” I personally agree with him; I think it would be a mistake to spend the final season trying to explain every single plot detail. As long as they resolve the biggest mysteries (What is the Island? What is the Monster? What is Jacob?) then I reckon I’ll be fairly happy. I don’t need a whole episode to explain where the Adam and Eve bodies from S1 came from, for example.

While there have been rumours of several former cast members returning, it seems that one who won’t be is Cynthia Watros, who played Libby. Her former co-star Jorge Garcia said “It looks like we’re probably not going to see Libby. They’ll probably deal with the story, but [Watros] may not be joining us.” It would be interesting to know one day the full story behind Watros relationship with the producers; both parties always said they intended to come back to Libby, and then it just never happened…

Of the script for the season premiere, entitled “LA X”, Terry O’Quinn said: “When I read the first script, it’s the first time in the whole series that I said, ‘Wow, that’s amazing’.” Seriously?! Terry must be pretty hard to please!

Lost returns to our screens next year. NEXT. YEAR. Permit me to weep for a moment.

The description for the poster reads “Image above gold foot printed in gloss, and can only be seen from certain [...]]]> Yep, another in the special series of Lost posters has been revealed, this week focussing on the 4-toed statue discovered by Sayid way back at the end of S2, and apparently the true home of Jacob.

Considering the four-toed statue is one of the most iconic elements of Lost I’d hoped they’d do something a little more interesting with it, but if you’re a fan, you can scooch on over here and pick yourself up a copy.

Details are scarce at the moment but what does seem to be confirmed is that Abrams will be working with Mike Markowitz on the as yet untitled “comedic medical show”.

Could be interesting, I [...]]]> Writer/producer/director JJ Abrams (Alias, Lost, Fringe, Star Trek) is taking on an executive producer role for a new half-hour comedy in development for Fox.

Details are scarce at the moment but what does seem to be confirmed is that Abrams will be working with Mike Markowitz on the as yet untitled “comedic medical show”.

Could be interesting, I suppose. Abrams definitely places a strong comedic strand through everything he works on (with the possible exception of Cloverfield!) More details to come as and when they emerge…

Ah, young love…

Again, I have to say, slightly disappointing this week. The only posters which have so far sold out are the Locke poster (my personal favourite to date) and The Crash. If you want to get your sticky mitts on The Love Triangle, take $50 out of your piggybank and visit this site to order.

Sometimes a show having a big, ensemble cast can work incredibly well; just look at shows like Lost, True Blood, Twin Peaks and Battlestar Galactica. Sometimes a show having a big, ensemble cast can work incredibly well; just look at shows like Lost, True Blood, Twin Peaks and Battlestar Galactica. By and large they succeed in giving every character their little moments in the spotlight, and ensuring that even the most minor characters have some kind of development.

Heroes was great at achieving this in its first season too, a fairly impressive feat considering their expansive cast and plotlines. In later seasons, however, it feels like many characters are just going in circles; they react to events but never particularly change (unless it’s to suit the plot.) Cutting down on the cast could allow for some deeper focus on those who remain, as well as freeing up a bit more of the budget. Maybe then we won’t have absolutely inexcusable scenes like the epic Sylar-Petrelli confrontation at the end of last season, that literally happened behind closed doors.

Could it be Aaron? He always seemed to have an importance to the island, and we know Claire is returning in Season 6, so it may be the time to resolve the Aaron story.

I know in-series Aaron is only 3 years old, but knowing Lost, anything is possible…

I kind of like the style of this latest one, and the use of colours from the [...]]]> The latest in a series of specially commissioned posters, commemorating the best of Lost, has been released. So far there have been posters dedicated to Locke, Hurley  and the Dharma Van whilst the latest poster focusses on “The Crash”.

I kind of like the style of this latest one, and the use of colours from the Oceanic Airlines logo, though it does look slightly like the DVD cover of “Lost: The Animated Series”. If you want to snag yourself a copy (each poster is limited to a run of 300) head over here.
