The former Captain Janeway actor is joining the line-up of new NBC hospital drama Mercy, which kicks off on September 23rd. According to The Hollywood Reporter Mulgrew will play Jeannie Flanagan, the mother of lead character Veronica (Taylor Schilling). I don’t really know too much about Mercy, other than the basic premise that it’s a hospital drama focussing [...] The fantastic Laura Linney has been lined up to executive produce and star in a half-hour comedy for Showtime. The show; “…delves into the emotional ups and downs of a suburban wife and mother forced to face reality yet also find the light side in a dark situation. A metaphor for the way we all should [...] So, the first season is already over, but fret not Jackie fans; a second season is on the way. Which is a damn good thing, as over the last 12 episodes I’ve grown to love some of these characters, and I’d hate to leave them in the condition they were at the end of this [...] Wow. I kind of expected some sort of a cliffhanger to this episode, given that next week is the season finale, but I really didn’t predict that ending. |
