In a move that some commentators have interpreted as a cost-cutting exercise, NBC have dramatically slashed the number of episodes for upcoming alien invasion drama Day One from 13 episodes to 4, which will air as a miniseries. It’s expected that NBC will take note of the ratings and any critical acclaim that the Day One [...] Riverworld, based on the Philip Jose Farmer novels, stars Tahmoh Penikett as US war reporter Matt Ellman who is resurrected in a strange world filled with dead people from throughout human history. The story sounds intriguing, but I’m still not totally convinced by the trailer. I’ll be watching optimistically, at least. Judging by the number of [...] A promo for the second season of Dollhouse aired yesterday and some helpful person recorded it for YouTube. The quality isn’t great, but it’s a nice little taste of what’s to come. Seems like Ballard could be blackmailing Adelle, from the sounds of things. Interesting. Dollhouse is back on September 25th – remember, if you love [...] I’d heard about this upcoming series a while ago and promptly forgot all about it, until this promo surfaced. The HBO series stars Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson, Zach Galifianakis and Heather Burns so there are certainly no complaints to be made against the cast, whilst the plot sounds, um… slightly generic, to be honest. BUT, [...] “They say Season 4 college is for reinventing yourself” says Noah at the start of this promo, trying to drum it home once again that Heroes is scooting back to S1 style stories and trying to move away from the convoluted shambles it became recently. I’ll be watching, anyway. The trailer doesn’t exactly fill me with [...] I’ve been hearing things about Day One for a while now, and remained fairly optimistic about it.
